Former U.S. Congressman Robert Hurt Takes on New Role at 4C Digital Health

4C Digital Health is pleased to announce that former Virginia Congressman Robert Hurt will be joining the 4C team as General Counsel for the company.

At a time when the rising cost of healthcare continues to drag down American families and their employers and to drive up government debt and deficits, 4C is devoted to delivering technology that self-insured organizations such as for-profit and not-for-profit corporations, states, and local governments can use to reduce their out-of-control healthcare costs.

Since stepping down from the U.S. House of Representatives in 2017, Hurt served as Dean of the Helms School of Government at Liberty University where he developed numerous programs that provided students with exceptional opportunities to engage with influential leaders from Washington and across the country. https://www.liberty.edu/news/2023/06/14/robert-hurt-to-step-down-as-dean-of-helms-school-of-government/

Prior to his work at Liberty, Hurt represented Virginia’s Fifth District in Washington from 2011 to 2017. While in Congress, he served on the House Financial Services Committee. A lawyer and former citizen-legislator from Southside Virginia, Hurt’s public service career has also included three years as a member of the Virginia State Senate and six years in the Virginia House of Delegates.

In commenting on Hurt’s new role, 4C CEO Ron Templeton said:

"Robert has been a great asset to 4C over the last several years as a member of our Advisory Board and has a real passion for the work we do. He brings a wealth of legal, market, government, and financial services experience to our 4C team, and he will be instrumental in helping promote the 4C message to those who need our services. We are delighted to have him on board full-time and look forward to working with him to continue the growth and success of our company."

Hurt said:

"Having been involved in policymaking in Washington and Virginia over the past 20 years, I am convinced, now more than ever, that market-oriented private sector solutions are critically needed to help reduce the cost of healthcare for all Americans. 4C is at the forefront of providing that transparency and market discipline, and I am excited to work with this great team to deliver exceptional value to our clients for the benefit of their organizations, their employees, and the taxpayer.”
